All Saints Food Bank is delighted to have been awarded a grant of £10,000 from the Doncaster Metropolitan Council Fighting Back Fund. The Council have been working incredibly hard and we would like to acknowledge the help and support of our local councillors in this application.
The money will be used to buy food and other supplies to stock the newly formed Food Bank operating out of Woodlands, but serving communities across North Doncaster.
The Vicar of All Saints Church, Rev Stephen Gardner, said
“We have wanted to establish a Food Bank as part of our Aspire Community Action Programme for many years, and we are incredibly grateful to Doncaster Council for helping us get it up and running during this difficult Lockdown period. The hard work of councillors and staff at DMBC is very much appreciated as is their support. We are also very grateful to a team of volunteers who have been working tirelessly over the last 14 days to get this funding and to get the Food Bank up and ready to go.”
Key Information
All Saints Food Bank is here to help vulnerable people across Woodlands, Highfields, Adwick Carcroft and Skellow. We are a “referral only” food bank and during the current lockdown people will need to be referred to us by DMBC, a key worker such as a family support worker or social worker, a local Doctor’s surgery or a local Christian Church. Referral Forms can be found here.
Any donations are welcome of non perishable food items, and toiletries – including nappies, wipes, sanitary products and soap. All items must be within sell by or use by dates.Sadly at this time we are NOT taking donations of clothes, toys or anything other than the above. Sadly due to the stringent requirements for handling and storage we won’t be able to accept or make baby food or baby milk donations. We will work together with the Community Hub to ensure families that need these can access them.
For more details about donations please see our dedicated Donations page and if you would like to volunteer to help at the foodbank please see the details here.
